 Swim in secluded waterfalls!

 

 Our Waterfall Journeys Tour travels through the back roads of Hamakua and down private trails leading to secret waterfalls! Five waterfalls are included in this tour. Take a refreshing swim in the last waterfall where they filmed the movie Predators in 2010. Your guide will prepare a picnic lunch to enjoy at the waterfall.

This tour also includes:
*A peek into a lava tube created by the 1881 lava flow from Mauna Loa
*A short, easy hike to the towering Akaka falls, that plummets 442ft into a stream eroded gorge.
*Visit a lava tube waterfall and a scenic lookout over Onomea Bay while exploring a section of our old Hamakua Highway.
*Explore old remnants of abandon sugar mills and journey through a banana orchard to a long sheet block waterfall.
*A short trek through a ginger and sweet potato farm through an old sugar  cane field for viewing of a 500ft waterfall at the back of a deep lush valley.
*Picnic lunch (Choice of Veggie wraps, Turkey wraps, Chicken soup, minestrone, or lentil soup) complimented with crackers and cookies.
*Snacks and refreshments provided along the way.
*Towels and umbrellas if needed.
*Tour From Kona includes a scenic drive across Route 200 (Locally known as the Saddle Road). This tour is approx. 6 hours from Hilo and 9 hours from Kona.
